Peter Murray was educated at Rugby and qualified when just 23. He lectured for the first two years, specialising in Commercial Law, and has been a partner in the firm and its predecessors since 1967.
He is a Commercial Specialist dealing with the Sale and Acquisitions of Businesses and Investment Property, and also acts in numerous Commercial Landlord and Tenant matters. He also deals extensively with Wills and Inheritance Tax.
He very much enjoys his legal work for the firm but his family remain an important part of his life.
Peter is a keen follower of current affairs and sport and pursues a wide range of musical interests.
Admitted as a solicitor in December 1979 prior to which he obtained an Honours Law Degree at University College Cardiff and worked his way around Australia, where some of his family still reside.
A strong all-round litigator with interest in Personal Injury and Employment Law, his main expertise is Family Law with particular emphasis on financial, property and child issues. He is accredited by examination as an Advanced Member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel.
He regularly sits as a Deputy District Judge on the Western Circuit.
Outside the profession, his life centres on his family and travel. He is a keen golfer and also takes an armchair interest in all sport!
Yvette joined Murray Roach in April 2008 heading up the Residential Conveyancing Department.
Yvette has over 20 years experience in conveyancing acting for clients who are buying and selling residential properties all over the country. She qualified as a Legal Executive and then as a Solicitor in 1993. She has worked in private practice and with leading house builders. She specialises in residential conveyancing and has particular knowledge of the new homes market, equity release schemes and shared ownership leases.
Yvette lives in Nailsea with her husband and their three sons.
